    Renting with us

    At L·D·B we simplify the renting process to make it straightforward for you and the Landlord. Once you have registered your details with us and discussed what type of property you are looking for, one of our lettings negotiators will show you around properties that meet your needs.

    In order to secure your new home, as part of the lettings process you will need to pay a reservation fee (approx. 1 week's rent) on the property while we negotiate the terms with the landlord. Once accepted, this fee will go towards your first month's rent, should the landlord not accept the offer, the fee is refunded.

    Reference process

    The referencing process protects the tenant, the landlord and the agent.

    If you are employed we will ask for an up to date Landlord reference, employment reference, copy of ID i.e. driving license or passport and visa if required, and that you fill out a credit check form.

    If you are a student you will need to supply us with a halls or current landlord reference, proof of study, ID driving license or passport and visa (as required). We also require a financial guarantor.

    Moving in

    Once terms are agreed and reference checks completed, you will pay up to six week deposit*, first month’s rent, agency fee and sign the tenancy agreement. You can collect the keys and sign the inventory list on the day of moving in.

    * We use the Deposit Protection Service one of the 3 Government Approved services.
